If you transfer a Pokémon from an older game to Scarlet and Violet, it will not be able to have a unique Tera type. Keep in mind that not all moves are available in every Pokémon game, so you may be required to change your Pokémon’s movesets before sending them to a different game. The Nintendo Switch version of Pokémon HOME features a built-in Move Relearner that will enable you to customize your Pokémon’s movesets before transferring them to a different game. This method will allow you to move Pokémon freely from several games into Pokémon HOME and then back to other games. From this screen, you can simply move Pokémon from one box to another. Upon clicking on Scarlet or Violet, you will see two boxes: one for your Pokémon HOME storage and one for your boxes in Scarlet or Violet. After May 24, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will appear on this list. When you open up the main menu of Pokémon HOME, you can select the “Pokémon” icon near the top of the screen to open up a list of compatible Switch games.
